At approximately 8:44 pm, the Pierce County Sheriff's Office was notified of a UTV accident with injuries on State Road 65 near 750th Street in Trimbelle Township.
On Saturday August 19th, 2023 at approximately 8:44 pm, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a UTV accident with injuries on State Road 65 near 750th Street in Trimbelle Township.
It was determined that a 2017 Polaris Razor 900 operated by a Tyler Gerhardt, 22 years old from Hammond, WI had been traveling southbound on State Road 65 when he attempted to make a sharp turn. Mr. Gerhardt then lost control causing the UTV to overturn. There was a passenger on the UTV identified as Tyler Kattre, 25 years old from Hammond, WI.
Mr. Gerhardt was not injured in the accident. Mr. Kattre was transported by Life Link Helicopter to Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN with undetermined injuries
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Ellsworth Fire Department, Ellsworth Ambulance Service and Life Link Helicopter.
