Single motor vehicle accident on State Road 35 near 150thth Ave in Isabelle Township. It was determined that a 2003 Subaru Legacy operated by a Matthew T. Mehrkens, 21 years old of Bay City, WI had been traveling southbound on State Road 35 when he lost control, entered the ditch and overturned.
On Saturday August 5th, 2023 at approximately 4:30 am, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified
of single motor vehicle accident on State Road 35 near 150thth Ave in Isabelle Township.
It was determined that a 2003 Subaru Legacy operated by a Matthew T. Mehrkens, 21 years old of Bay
City, WI had been traveling southbound on State Road 35 when he lost control, entered the ditch and
overturned.
Mr. Mehrkens was transported from the scene by the Red Wing Fire Department to Mayo Hospital Red
Wing with undetermined injuries.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Red Wing Police Department, Red
Wing Fire Department, Ellsworth Fire Department and Ellsworth Ambulance Service.
