On Friday, October 14th, 2022 at about 3:29 pm, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 10 near
County Road J Ellsworth, WI in Trimbelle Township.
It was determined a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox operated by Carson Stockwell, 19 years old from Ellsworth, WI was traveling eastbound on U. S.
Highway 10 near County Road J. Mr. Stockwell crossed the center line entering the westbound lane attempting to pass another eastbound vehicle.
Mr. Stockwell’s vehicle struck a 2020 Jeep Gladiator traveling westbound operated by Michael Baier, 32 years old from Prescott, WI.
Mr. Stockwell and Mr. Baier were transported from the scene by the Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service to the River Falls Area Hospital in River
Falls, WI with undetermined injuries.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Ellsworth Fire Department, Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service and Allina Health.
