Two-vehicle accident with injuries on State Road 35 near County Road D Bay City, WI in Isabelle Township.

On Saturday, May 14th, 2022 at about 10:23am, the Pierce County Sheriff’s was notified of a two-vehicle accident with injuries on State Road 35 near County Road D Bay City, WI in Isabelle Township.
A 1993 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling South on State Road 35 near County Road D and was being operated by Dale Degross, 68 years old from Burnsville, MN. A 2000 Ford Focus also traveling South on State Road 35 was being operated by Benjamin Schmid, 53 years old from Marshall MN. Mr. Degross was stopped in the roadway waiting for other traffic to clear the intersection of State Road 35 and County Road D, when he was rear-ended by Mr. Schmid.
Mr. Degross was transported from the scene by Red Wing Ambulance Service to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing, MN with undetermined injuries. Mr. Schmid was not injured in the crash.
The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Ellsworth Fire Department, Red Wing Fire Department and Red Wing Ambulance Service.
