Single vehicle crash with injury near U.S. Highway 10 and County Road A Maiden Rock, WI in Salem Township.

On Wednesday, August 11^th 2021 at about 4:30 p.m. the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single vehicle crash with injury near U.S. Highway 10 and County Road A Maiden Rock, WI in Salem Township.

It was determined that a 2010 Jeep Liberty, operated by Martin Wright 53 years old of Maiden Rock, WI was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 10.  Mr. Wright lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve and crossed the center line and entered the south ditch.

Mr. Wright was transported from the scene to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing, MN with undetermined injuries.

Assisting the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office at the scene was Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service, Ellsworth Fire Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
