Two-vehicle crash with injuries on U.S. Highway 10 near County Road QQ Prescott, WI in Oak Grove Township.
On Wednesday, August 11th, 2021 at about 11:51 a.m. the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a two-vehicle crash with injuries on U.S. Highway 10 near County Road QQ Prescott, WI in Oak Grove Township.
It was determined that a 2013 Kia Soul traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 10, operated by Diana Ristow 82 years old of Ellsworth, WI was attempting to pass another vehicle near the intersection of County Road QQ when she met a 2007 Mercedes-Benz SL3, operated by Dwight Nelson 70 years old of River Falls, WI. Mr. Nelson was traveling southbound on County Road QQ and then turned westbound onto U.S. Highway 10. Mr. Nelson did not see Ms. Ristow making the passing maneuver and struck Ms. Ristow vehicle on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
Ms. Ristow was transported from the scene to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN with undetermined injuries. Mr. Nelson was also transported from the scene to Regions Hospital with undetermined injuries.
Assisting the Pierce County Sheriff’s on scene was the Prescott Police Department, River Falls Area Ambulance Service and Prescott Fire Department.
