Solid Waste Operations Manager

Purpose of Position:
The Solid Waste Operations Manager is responsible for managing the County’s Solid Waste Program including the Material Recovery Facility operation, planning, coordinating and managing the hazardous waste public education and collection events, evaluate vendor and consultant services, managing personnel and monitoring regulatory compliance and enforcement of the County Solid Waste Code.
Minimum Qualifications:
2-year degree majoring or emphasis in natural resources, environmental studies, land use planning, waste management, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and responsibilities. Required 2 years of directly related experience in the supervision, planning and operations of solid waste and recycling programs and operations. Valid Wisconsin driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, environmental studies, ;and use planning, waste management or related field.
This position is a FT 40 hours per week position. Starting Salary $71,884 - $82,139 per year (Depending of qualifications ) plus fringe benefits.
