Motorcycle crash with injury on U.S. Highway 10 near County Road A Maiden Rock, WI in Salem Township

On Saturday, April 3^rd, 2021 at about 6:01 PM the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a motorcycle crash with injury on U.S. Highway 10 near County Road A Maiden Rock, WI in Salem Township.

It was determined that Lauren Nelson, 26 years old from Prescott, WI, was operating a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound on U.S. Highway 10 near County Road A.  Ms. Nelson failed to see a slowing vehicle in front of her, she tried to brake and lost control which caused her to lay her motorcycle down on its side. 

Ms. Nelson was transported from the scene by Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service to Mayo Hospital in Red Wing, MN with undetermined injuries.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Ellsworth Area Ambulance Service and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
