On Monday, December 26th, 2022, at approximately 12:55 p.m., the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injured snowmobile rider located on the trail near US Highway 10 and County Road CC in Salem Township.

The operator of a 2021 Ski-Doo MXZ 850, Timothy Hanson, 38, of Maiden Rock, was operating eastbound on a Pierce County Trail when he suffered an injury while riding.

Hanson did not crash or leave the snowmobile and was assisted by other riders on scene.

Hanson was transported by Plum City EMS to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota with undetermined injuries.

Assisting the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office on scene was Plum City EMS, Ellsworth Fire, and Ellsworth Area Ambulance.
