Maintenance Technician – Highway Department - The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of tasks of buildings and grounds maintenance and custodial work at the main and outlying highway shops. Operates heavy equipment as needed. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a CDL license. Must have one-year experience in the maintenance of buildings and grounds. Must have one year of carpenter experience. One-year experience in working with 240-volt electrical systems. Ability to adjust and operate boiler, air conditioning and heating systems. Ability to operate end loader, trucks, forklift, power sweeper and lawn mowers, and personnel lifts.  One year of technical training in the field of maintenance of buildings is preferred.

This position is a FT 40 hours per week position.  Salary range $19.15 - $24.61 per hour depending on qualifications plus fringe benefits.
