SCHOOL DISTRICT

Spring Lake was part of Martell Township until April 1869 when Martell Township split into three separate towns – Martell – Gilman – Spring Lake. Spring Lake took its name from a small spring fed lake in Section 16. The “lake” was about four to five acres in size. The Town of Spring Lake is located in the Northern portion of Pierce County (the “driftless area”) which accounts for our generally rolling lands, highlighted by hills and valleys because the last glacier barely missed us. It is bordered by the Town of Gilman, Town of El Paso, Town of Rock Elm, Village of Elmwood and Village of Spring Valley.

TOWN MEETINGS

Public meeting notices and agendas are posted on the Town's website and at the Town Hall. Legal notices that must also be published in a subscriber-based newspaper under state statutes (such as Board of Review and Elections) appear in the Spring Valley Sun-Elmwood Argus.  Residents are encouraged to attend all the Town of Spring Lake meetings.

Regular monthly meetings for the Town Board are held at the Town Hall on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. (with the exception of April, when the meeting is on the 3rd Tuesday)  If there's something you wish to discuss at the meeting, please contact the Town Clerk so it can be properly placed on the agenda.
