  • Spring Primary - February 15, 2022
  • Spring Election - April 5, 2022
  • Fall Primary - August 9, 2022
  • General Election - November 8, 2022

VOTER REGISTRATION

Voter registration is required. The residency requirement is 10 days. The registration form is available online at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/. Please include a copy of your proof of residency when registering by mail (usually copy of drivers license if it has current address on it.) The new law DOES NOT allow voter registration or absentee voting on the Monday before any election, so plan ahead. You may register on election days.

AT THE POLLS

Once it has been determined you are a registered voter, you will be asked to sign the poll book. If you refuse to sign, you will not be allowed to vote.

ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUESTS

You MUST be a registered voter to get an absentee ballot. Your request for an absentee ballot must be in writing. You may e-mail the town clerk to make that request or you can get an absentee application online at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/. You must plan ahead as the new law states NO ABSENTEE VOTING WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY BEFORE ANY ELECTION.

TOWN ELECTIONS

The Town Chair, Supervisors, Clerk and Treasurer are elected in April of odd-numbered years and serve a two-year term. Candidates for these positions are nominated by town residents at the town caucus, which is held in January of odd numbered years. All town residents are invited to nominate persons for these positions at the caucus. The date for caucus is set at the December Town Board meeting in even numbered year.
