FUTURE ELECTION DATES

Location: Town Hall, N4939 1100th St., Prescott - Handicap accessible
Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

VOTER REGISTRATION

Voter registration is required. The residency requirement is 28 days. The registration form is available online at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/. Please include a copy of your proof of residency when registering by mail (usually copy of drivers license if it has current address on it.) The new law DOES NOT allow voter registration or absentee voting on the Monday before any election, so plan ahead. You may register on election days.

AT THE POLLS

Once it has been determined you are a registered voter, you will be asked to sign the poll book. If you refuse to sign, you will not be allowed to vote.

ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUESTS

You MUST be a registered voter to get an absentee ballot. Your request for an absentee ballot must be in writing. You may e-mail the town clerk to make that request or you can get an absentee application online at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ You must plan ahead as the new law states NO ABSENTEE VOTING WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY BEFORE ANY ELECTION.

TOWN ELECTIONS

The Town Chair, Town Supervisor I, Town Supervisor II, Clerk and Treasurer are elected in April of odd-numbered years and serve a two-year term. Town Supervisor III and Town Supervisor IV are elected in April of even-numbered years and serve a two-year term. Candidates for these positions are nominated by Town Electors / voters at the Town Caucus, which is held each January. All town residents are invited to nominate persons for these positions at the caucus. The date for caucus is set at the December Town Board meeting in each year. The two-year terms of newly elected officials begin the third Tuesday in April, pursuant to Wis. Stat. 60.30(4).

WARDS

The Town of Oak Grove has three wards for the purpose of electing county board supervisors.

Ward 1 of the Town of Oak Grove be that part lying northerly of State Rd 35 and westerly of the following described reference line: beginning at the intersection of State Road 35 and County Road QQ, thence northerly along County Road QQ to 1090th Street; thence easterly and northerly along 1090th Street to US Highway 10; thence northwesterly along US Highway 10 to County Road QQ; thence northerly along said County Road QQ to the Town line, said area to be part of Supervisory District No. 15; and the designated polling place shall be the Town Hall 

Ward 2 of the Town of Oak Grove be that part lying southerly and southwesterly of State Road 35 and east of the City of Prescott, said area to be part of Supervisory District No. 16; and the designated polling place shall be the Town Hall; 

Ward 3 of the Town of Oak Grove be part lying northerly and easterly of State Road 35 and easterly of the following described reference line: Commencing at the intersection of State Road 35 and County Road QQ, thence northerly along County Road QQ to 1090th Street, thence easterly and northerly along 1090th Street to US Highway 10; thence northwesterly along US Highway 10 to County Road QQ, thence northerly along County Road QQ to Town line and end of reference line, said area to be part of Supervisory District No. 13; and the designated polling place shall be the Town Hall;
