TOWN OF ELLSWORTH PUBLIC NOTICE - TESTING OF  VOTING EQUIPMENT Wednesday, March 29, 2023
A public testing of the Express Vote and optical scan voting/tabulating equipment to be used at the April 4, 2023 Spring Election will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ W5706 State Rd 72, Ellsworth. The test is open to the general public.

NOTICE OF MEETING OF BOARD OF REVIEW - TOWN OF ELLSWORTH, PIERCE COUNTY, WI
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Review for the Town of Ellsworth, Pierce County, Wisconsin, shall hold its first meeting on  MONDAY, MAY 8 2023,  from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ellsworth Town Hall/Garage, W6058 490th Avenue.

OPEN BOOK with the assessor to discuss 2023 property valuations will take place TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the above location.  Click HERE for full notice.

Town of Ellsworth Plan Commission
The Town of Ellsworth Plan Commission will review Conditional Use Permits, rezone requests, Certified Survey Maps, and all Planned Development housing areas presented to the town.

The Plan Commission will meet the third Monday of the month if they have issues to consider. Requests for the Plan Commission agenda are to be made to the town clerk two weeks in advance of the Plan Commission meeting date.

The Town of Ellsworth is located in the center of Pierce County, Wisconsin. The Town is bordered by the Towns of Trimbelle, Martell, El Paso, Hartland, and the Village of Ellsworth, which lies within the town boundary. The Town of Ellsworth is a rural township with a mix of farmland, woodland, and creeks. Its primary industry is agriculture, which includes dairy, beef, and crop farms. TOWN MEETINGS

Detailed notices of meetings held in the Town of Ellsworth are published in the Pierce County Journal. Agendas are posted on this web site and at the town shop (hall), Kenny's Lawton Bar, and 715-Beer and Steer.    Any changes to the agendas are posted at the town shop (hall).

Residents are encouraged to attend the town of Ellsworth meetings. Regular monthly meetings for the Town Board are normally held at the Town Shop (Hall) on the 1st Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. If there's something you wish to discuss at the meeting, please contact the Town Clerk 10 days prior to the meeting so it can be properly placed on the agenda.

Effective in 2013, the annual meeting will be held the third Tuesday in April. At this meeting the resident of the town:

  • Review the prior year financial report
  • Hear the prior year and current year road work report
  • Set the date for the next annual meeting
  • Express concerns within the township

The annual budget hearing/special town meeting is held in November. At this meeting the resident of the town:

  • Approve the proposed budget for the next year
  • Adopt the town tax levy
  • Authorize highway expenditures
  • May set the town board members salary for the next term
