          The Clifton Town Clerk, Kris Johnson will be at the Clifton Town Hall for the following days/hours.  Voting Equipment
          Public Test will be conducted on Wednesday, March 27 from 1-3pm.

VOTER REGISTRATION

Voter registration is required. The residency requirement is 10 days. The registration form is available online at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ and the form # is GAB-131. Please complete the registration form and mail to the Town Clerk. Please include a copy of your proof of residency when registering by mail (usually copy of drivers license if it has current address on it.) The new law DOES NOT allow voter registration or absentee voting on the Monday before any election, so plan ahead. You may register on election days.

AT THE POLLS

Once it has been determined you are a registered voter, you will be asked to sign the poll book. If you refuse to sign, you will not be allowed to vote.

ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUESTS

You MUST be a registered voter to get an absentee ballot. Your request for an absentee ballot must be in writing. You may e-mail the town clerk to make that request or you can get an absentee application online at https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ and the form # is GAB-121. Mail the absentee application to the town clerk. You must plan ahead as the new law states NO ABSENTEE VOTING WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY BEFORE ANY ELECTION.

TOWN ELECTIONS

The Town Chair and Town Supervisor are elected in April of odd-numbered years and serve a two-year term. Candidates for these positions are nominated by Town Electors / voters at the Town Caucus, which is held each January. All town residents are invited to nominate persons for these positions at the caucus. The date for caucus is set at the December Town Board meeting in each year.

WARDS

The Town of Clifton has three wards.

Ward 1 of the Town of Clifton includes that part of the town of Clifton lying north of the Kinnickinnic River and West of County Road F. Said area to be part of Supervisory District No. 2; and the designated polling place shall be the Town Hall. 

Ward 2 of the Town of Clifton shall include that northerly portion of the Town of Clifton located East of County Road F and located within the River Falls School District. Said area to be part of Supervisory District No. 2; and the designated polling place shall be the Town Hall.

Ward 3 of the Town of Clifton shall include all that southerly portion of the Town of Clifton located within the Prescott School District. Said area to be part of Supervisory District No. 2; and the designated polling place shall be the Town Hall.
