A SAFE PLACE TO SHOOT

 

The Pierce County Shooting Range Opens July 2, 2009

 

Schedules:  The range will be open only when authorized personnel are present to supervise the use during the following dates.

           

            July

Tuesday and Thursday                          12:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

            Saturday (not open July 4th)                  10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

 

            August

            Tuesday and Thursday                          12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

            Saturday                                                  10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

 

            September

            Tuesday and Thursday                          10:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

            Saturday                                                  10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

 

            October

            Tuesday and Thursday                          10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

            Saturday                                                  10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

 

            November

            Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday            9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

            Also the full week beginning the Sunday prior to the opening of deer gun season.

 

Range closed if temperature is over 100 degrees. Range closed for the season when the deer gun season begins (Nov. 21nd) and is CLOSED ALL HOLIDAYS, SUNDAYS, MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS AND FRIDAYS EXCEPT AS NOTED ABOVE.

 

Shooting Fees:   Hourly                            $4.00

  Daily                              $10.00

  Annual                           $40.00

 

- Children under 14 years of age shoot free.

- Benches, bags, boards for targets and pins are included in the shooting fee.

 

The Pierce County Shooting Range has been established for use by Piece County residents. County residents may bring a maximum of two nonresident guests who must also pay fees stated above. Nonresidents may not use the range unless they are the guest of a resident.

 

Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult guardian or parent. Children age 14-16 must have successfully completed an accredited hunter safety training course unless a parent or guardian accompanies them.

 

The Shooting Range is located north of Ellsworth on 610th Avenue, approximately one half mile east of State Highway 65.
