  1. No swimming, jumping, or diving off the canoe/boat.
  2. Do not exceed US Coast Guard Maximum Capacities Rating for persons and weights posted on the inside of the canoe/boat.
  3. Children under the age of 12 will not be allowed to use a canoe/boat without immediate adult supervision.
  4. Children between the age of 12 and 17 will be allowed to use a canoe/boat, but an 18-year, or older, parent or guardian is responsible for renting and supervising the use of the canoe/boat.
  5. I am familiar with the safe operation of a canoe/boat and agree to observe all safety precautions.
  6. I will inspect the canoe/boat and agree that it is good condition and suitable for my intended purpose.  I will contact the park office if it fails to meet my expectations for the intended purpose.
  7. I understand and agree that the use of the equipment under this rental agreement is undertaken by me solely at my own risk, and that Pierce County shall not be held liable for any claims, demands, actions, or causes of actions, for injuries, to me or anyone else or damage to property arising out of or connected with this Agreement or the use of the equipment.  I further agree to expressly release and discharge Pierce County from all such claims, demands, injuries, damages, actions or causes of action, and from all acts of active or passive negligence on the part of Pierce County, its servants, agents, or employees. I agree that this rental agreement was bargained for.
  8. I certify that I am over 18 years of age and responsible for any occupant of the canoe/boat.
  9. I understand that State Law requires US Coast Guard Approved Personal Floatation Devices and I attest that I have received from Nugget Lake County Park the appropriate number of PFD’s required for occupants.
