Assistant Finance Director - Pierce County is seeking to hire an Assistant Finance Director to assists in the operation of the Finance Department in the administration of a comprehensive financial system in order to produce an in-house annual financial report and plan. The Assistant Finance Director performs a variety of complex accounting functions assisting the Finance Director in providing a countywide vision and leadership in the county’s fiscal affairs. These functions include development and implementation of the central financial information/management, payroll and human resource systems, the development of the annual county budget, single audit and state financial report with internal reviews of accounting controls and practices with direct assistance from external audit staff performing compliant audit of county records. The Assistant Finance Director exercises delegated responsibilities and authority in reference to daily operations in the absence of the County Finance Director. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field with 3 years of related accounting experience is required.  Must have a valid driver’s license. Preferred Qualifications: Proven leadership/supervisory experience preferred. Cost accounting experience also preferred. FT 40 hrs. wk.; Starting Salary $65,124/year plus fringe benefits. Mental Health Therapist – This position provides therapy/treatment, diagnostic, crisis intervention, consultation, evaluation, coordination, monitoring, follow-up, mediation, intake and referral services for individuals, couples, families, and groups, including intervention and prevention services.  Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Social Work, psychology, guidance, counseling, family therapy, or related degree.  Three thousand (3000) hours of clinical supervision is required and eligible for Wisconsin certification. Experience working adolescent and adult mental health population. Valid Driver’s License. Preferred Qualifications: Dual (Mental Health/Substance Abuse) Wisconsin licensure/certification preferred but not required. Full Time. Salary range starts at $29.50/hr plus fringe benefits. Director of Veterans Services - This position provides advocacy, advice and aid to veterans, their families and dependents in presenting disability compensation, pension and insurance claims under federal laws; loans, grants and education entitled benefits under state law. The duties involve informing the public of services rendered and rights of veterans and their dependents; reviewing legislation, regulations and precedents impaction benefit claims and rights; prepare correspondence to acquaint veterans in current legislative activities and initiatives. Duties performed according to Wisconsin Statutes Chapter 45 and applicable codes. Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Human Services with prior counseling experience and 2 years’ experience in dealing with government entitlement or assistance experience in veterans’ benefits; OR any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Knowledge of all Federal, State, and Local benefits available to veterans and survivors’ benefits. Valid Driver’s License. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor degree in business or related field is preferred but not required. Prior supervisory experience.  Wisconsin Counselor certification is preferred.
