Screed Operator – Pierce County Highway Department - The purpose of this position is to operate the screws on the paver in the process of laying blacktop, operate the shoulder machine to apply materials to roads and operate a motor grader for plowing snow, scraping ice, spreading of various types of materials and other tasks associated with the safe operation of a motor grader.  Minimum Qualifications: high school graduate or equivalent, CDL license Class “A” with “N” endorsement, one year experience in the operation of a paver or a combination of education or experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Ability to operate motor grader. Ability to operate a shouldering machine.  Preferred Qualifications:  Three years of experience in the operation of a paver or a combination of education or experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. CCS SOCIAL WORKER:  Pierce County Department of Human Services. This position provides rehabilitative mental health, substance abuse disorder services as identified in the consumer’s individual treatment plan under the clinical direction of a licensed mental health professional or substance abuse professional.  The caseload for this position includes individuals who are receiving services from the Comprehensive Community Services Program.  Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field required.  Certified Social Worker (CSW) certificate required within one year of hire. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s of Social Work (BSW) with Certified Social Worker (CSW) certificate. MN Social Worker and/or recent graduates awaiting ASWB exam will be considered.  Valid driver’s license. FT 40 hrs wk. Salary range starts at $23.77/hr plus fringe benefits. CORRECTIONS OFFICER—Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is seeking candidates to add to an eligibility list for our Corrections Division. A wide variety of tasks are connected with operation of the jail. Work involves operation of the jail, safety and security of the prisoners, receipt and accurate transmission of jail radio, telephone, and various clerical functions in the jail. This position requires a HS Diploma or equivalent, Valid Driver’s License, WI Jailer Certification is preferred but not required at hire. Contract Nutritionist:  The purpose of this position is to provide nutrition education services to individuals, families and the community.  The nutritionist will receive training in WIC nutrition counseling and certification in the clinic setting by the WIC Director. The nutritionist will then provide nutrition education coverage for the WIC Director during maternity leave, and on an ongoing basis as needed upon her return. Registered Dietitian required.
