Service Coordinator – The Pierce County Public Health department is seeking a candidate to be a member of a multidisciplinary early intervention team supporting infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families in the child’s natural environment.  This position will provide service coordination for the Birth to 3 Program, assisting the family in supporting their infant’s or toddler’s development in the context of naturally occurring relationships, routines, and environments through a process of assessment, planning and family supports. In line with the department’s strategic plan, this position is responsible for ensuring strong linkages between the Birth to 3 program and other programs and services within the County, including medical providers and schools. This position works closely with the Early Intervention Program Coordinator for Birth to 3.  Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma/GED with at least 2 years technical school training or equivalent work experience. At least one year of supervised experience working with families with special needs. Understanding of developmental delays in children under the age of 3. Preferred Qualifications: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood education, health education, social work, nursing or related field. 2-5 years of experience in Birth to 3 or similar early intervention program. ECONOMIC SUPPORT SPECIALIST, Pierce County Dept. of Human Services, to work with clients to assess needs for assistance services and to provide program referrals. Minimum Qualifications: HS diploma or GED.   Technical/Vocational degree in business administration or related field strongly preferred.  Strong skills in keyboarding, communication, math and time management.  Excellent interpersonal skills required.  Ability to utilize automated and integrated data reporting systems and software.  Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a call center work environment.  Experience working with benefits programs strongly preferred. CORRECTIONS OFFICER—Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is seeking candidates to add to an eligibility list for our Corrections Division. A wide variety of tasks are connected with operation of the jail. Work involves operation of the jail, safety and security of the prisoners, receipt and accurate transmission of jail radio, telephone, and various clerical functions in the jail. This position requires a HS Diploma or equivalent, Valid Driver’s License, WI Jailer Certification is preferred but not required at hire. Social Worker - Under the direction of the Community Behavioral Health (CBH) Program Manager this position determines the need for and provides individuals with a range of services designed to stabilize and improve their mental health so that they may overcome personal, family, financial, or health issues. This position maintains a caseload of clients involved in the Community Support Program (CSP), Mental Health Targeted Case Management (MH-TCM), Community Recovery Services (CRS) and the Emergency Mental Health Services (EMHS) programs. This position provides assessment, treatment planning, case management, supportive psychotherapy, skills training, crisis assessment and stabilization, discharge planning and other services appropriate to the client’s issue and needs. This position coordinates and collaborates with the CBH Unit Program Manager, CBH Unit staff and other community providers. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or closely related field from an accredited university or college. Certified Social Worker by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services required.  MN Social Worker and/or recent WI graduates awaiting ASWB exam will be considered.  Valid driver’s license is required. Preferred Qualifications: Work experience in CSP; 1000 hours post-graduate supervised experience working with the chronic mentally ill population. Work experience in Mental Health Targeted Case Management, Community Recovery Services and/or Emergency Mental Health Services program(s). FT 40 hrs wk; Salary $24.07/hr plus fringe benefits.
