COURT CLERK: This position is responsible for working in the following areas:   jury, civil, small claims, criminal, family, paternity, criminal traffic, traffic and forfeitures.  This position works closely with the public, attorneys, judges, sheriff’s department, district attorney’s office, court commissioners, police officers, department of motor vehicles, child support,  and District Court Administrator.  A Court Clerk will need to learn and be crossed-trained in all duties and responsibilities cited in this position description. High School Diploma, supplemented by legal or business courses or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities required. FT 40 hrs wk; Salary $18.17/hr plus fringe benefits. File by 4:00 p.m. on November 22, 2017.  EOE

Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Corrections Officer: Under the general direction of the Sheriff, or their designee the Corrections Officer performs a wide variety of tasks connected with the operation of the jail.  Work involves operation of the jail, safety and security of the prisoners, receipt and accurate transmission of jail radio, telephone, and various general clerical functions in the Sheriff’s office. This position requires HS Diploma or equivalent, Valid Driver License, WI Jailer Certification preferred, Experience in a Corrections and/or Law Enforcement setting is preferred.  FT, $19.94 pr/hr, plus excellent fringe benefits.
