Pierce County is seeking a county citizen for appointment to the five-member Pierce County Ethics Board.  The Board meets on an as-needed basis to address ethics complaints filed and provide advisory opinions with regard to issues of conflict of interest, etc.  Applicants must be a resident of Pierce County, cannot be an elected county official or employee, and cannot be currently serving on any county committee, commission, or board.  The appointee will serve a three year term, and is eligible to be re-appointed for a second term.  Per diems and mileage are paid.  The Appointment is made by the County Board Chairperson, and subject to confirmation by the County Board.  Applicants should submit a letter of interest setting forth their qualifications and references by Friday, April 27, 2018 to:  County Board Chairperson, Pierce County Courthouse, 414 W. Paving Foreman – Pierce County Highway Department is seeking a Paving Foreman to supervise, inspect, layout, and participate in the work of crews engaged in asphalt paving, sealcoating, blacktop patching, crack filling, base course shaping, and other areas associated with the surfacing of roads. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED,  Must have a CDL license Class “A” with “N” endorsement, two years of experience in the field of surfacing of roads which includes but is not limited to the following; paving, sealcoating, crack filling, and blacktop patching or a combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.  One year of experience as a Foreman or supervising a crew is preferred. Human Services Worker - This position is designed to assist staff with daily client and program responsibilities in the area of family and children's services, determine eligibility for and provide individuals with independent living skills, provide service linkage and support to children and families, provide supervised family interaction to promote reunification while ensuring child safety, and provide parenting support to parents and families.  Required Qualifications: High school diploma and at least 50 hours of training related to Children, Youth, & Families. Knowledge of early childhood development and/or education. Within the past two years, at least six months prior paid work experience in providing services to families and children.  Valid DL.  Associate/Technical degree in human services or related field preferred. This position provides social services to families and children; primary job duties are child protection investigation and assessment and/or ongoing child protection case management. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field; WI Social Worker certification by Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Candidates with MN social work licensure and child protection experience will be considered. One year of paid Child Protective Services initial assessment or ongoing case management is required.
