Court Services Worker: This position is responsible for working with people involved in the Pierce County criminal justice system including: Pierce County Court Services - Diversion/Pretrial, Intoxicated Driver Improvement Program (IDIP) and Pierce County OWI Court  The Worker serves as liaison between court, law enforcement agencies, treatment providers, and the community.  The work involves activities to determine program client eligibility, maintain participant files and database system, monitor client compliance, and assist participants in securing supportive services. The individual will work closely with Circuit Court Judge, District Attorney and other court officials. Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health, AODA, Criminal Justice or related field required, valid driver’s license required; two years paid work experience with clients in the criminal justice system preferred.  FT 40 hrs wk; Salary $23.19/hr plus fringe benefits. CORRECTIONS OFFICER—Pierce County Sheriff’s Office is seeking candidates to fill openings and establish an eligibility list for our Corrections Division. A wide variety of tasks are connected with operation of the jail. Work involves operation of the jail, safety and security of the prisoners, receipt and accurate transmission of jail radio, telephone, and various clerical functions in the jail. This position requires a HS Diploma or equivalent, Valid Driver’s License, WI Jailer Certification is preferred but not required at hire. You will have to successfully complete this certification within one year of hire.  FT, $19.94 pr/hr, plus excellent fringe benefits. You need to take the EMPCO EXAM.
