WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU APPLY FOR A COUNTY POSITION?

  

Deputy Medical Examiner

  

  1. You must file the Pierce County Employment Application. Application attachments required: Drivers Record Check. The application and attachment must be filed with the Pierce County Personnel Dept. at the Courthouse.

  2. All applications will be reviewed upon receipt by the Medical Examiner. Suitable candidates who have met the position criteria will be contacted for an interview. Rejection letters will be sent to those individuals who make application but are not offered an interview.


  3. The Medical Examiner and individuals of his/her choice will conduct the interviews. 


  4. Interview results will be utilized to produce the successful candidate.  A job offer is contingent upon favorable reference checks and successful completion of a limited post-offer physical examination. 

  5. Candidates are advised that the Deputy Medical Examiner serves at the pleasure of the Medical Examiner.  This position does not include eligibility for any fringe benefits.
