Requests for Department Information
POLICY
Pierce County Department of Human Services believes in government that is open and accessible to the public.All requests for information, other than routine public information about the Department, will be channeled to the Director for a decision about releasing the information.The following requests will not be released by the Department:
- Information requests about personnel matters will be referred to Administration; and
- Information requests regarding legal matters will be referred to Corporation Counsel.
All information released will comply with applicable state and federal laws, including state open record laws.
This policy does not apply to requests pertaining to client specific information.
