Pierce County POLICY: Removal of Board Members
The Pierce County Department of Human Services Board will recommend to the Pierce County Board of Supervisors the removal of any board member who fails to perform their expected duties. A board member may be recommended for removal from the Board for cause, including but not limited to:
- negligence of board duties and responsibilities;failure to attend board meetings regularly;illegal activity as a member of the Board; or
- acting in any manner detrimental to Human Services.
A member of the Board who, when elected was a member of the Pierce County Board of Supervisors, and was not re-elected to the Board of Supervisors will be replaced by another elected member of the Board of Supervisors.
