Pierce County POLICY: Adoption, Amendment, Suspension or Deletion of Policies
Pierce County Department of Human Services Board will adopt a Department policy only after review of the written proposal at two successive board meetings and upon a majority vote of all members present at the second board meeting.A Department policy may be amended or deleted only after review of the written proposal at two successive board meetings and upon a majority vote of all members present at the second board meeting.A Department policy may be suspended only after review of the policy and majority vote of all members present at a board meeting.
All Department policies are subordinate to Pierce County Code, Ordinances and County Policies, except as superceded by state and/or federal law.
