Office on Aging
The Office on Aging provides services and information to help older people remain independent in their homes and active in their communities.
Eligibility for these services is based on AGE and NEED, not on income and assets. You must be age 60 or older to be eligible.

ERVICES:In-Home
Meals are delivered to anyone who is homebound due to illness or disability or isolated in any way.
Chore Assistance reimbursements are available for help with household tasks, cleaning and yard work.
Family Caregiver Support Program provides information, services and respite care to assist caregivers.
Alzheimer's Family and Caregiver programs provide goods and services to those with Alzheimer's Disease and other dementias, and to their caregivers.
Vehicle and Volunteer Transportation
Van and wheel chair equipped bus service is provided to Congregate Meal sites, medical appointments, essential shopping, and limited recreational trips.
If you have no other means of transportation, volunteers will take you to medical appointments.
The Elder Abuse Law holds that elder abuse has taken place when a person age 60 or older has been subject to physical abuse, material abuse, neglect or self-neglect. The caller's confidentiality is protected by law.
Benefit Specialist Assistance
provides confidential help with public benefit programs including Medicare, Social Security, SSI, Medical Assistance, Social Services, etc.Congregate Meals:

Monthly Newsletter mailed free of charge to 2000 elderly households and to senior centers, the newsletter has up-to-date information about benefits, social and recreational events, and goods and services provided by advertisers.
Volunteer Opportunities
